Luke Brady takes on Sweeney Todd

Luke Brady stars in Jonathan Kent’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd which has opened at the Adelphi Theatre in the West End.
Luke plays the young lead role of Anthony Hope, a young sailor who arrives in London and soon finds himself falling in love with Johanna, a beautiful young woman who is unaware of the fact that she is the long-lost daughter of Sweeney Todd. Together they plan to escape from her corrupt guardian Judge Turpin and Todd’s murderous legacy as the notorious demon barber of Fleet Street.
The production originally enjoyed a successful run at Chichester last year before transferring to the West End.
Luke’s performance as Anthony has been praised by Lisa Martland in a review for The Stage, with “Luke Brady’s Anthony making a particular impression.”
The production has been widely praised, gaining a five-star review from Michael Billington in The Guardian.
The production runs at the Adelphi Theatre until September 22nd.
