Marcel Theroux is a novelist and broadcaster.  His second novel The Paperchase (Abacus 2001) won the Somerset Maugham Award.

His most recent novel Far North was shortlisted for the Arthur C. Clarke Award in the UK, and was a finalist for the National Book Award in the USA. 

He lives in London with his wife and their two children.
