Marisa Acocella Marchetto is a cartoonist for The New Yorker and Glamour magazine. Her graphic memoir Cancer Vixen was published by Knopf in the US (2006) and Fourth Estate in the UK (2007).

Marisa, who was determined to be a cancer vixen rather than a victim, has been awarded the Humanitarian Award for Breast Cancer Research. A percentage of every copy sold is being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
