Mark Grimmer is a scriptwriter who graduated from the University of Oxford.
Mark co-wrote the comedy sketch show pilot Spilt Milk, which featured Ben Whishaw, Jodie Whittaker and Robert Bathurst and was awarded the Royal Television Society Student Award for Best Entertainment. Sketches have subsequently been broadcast by the BBC.
Other credits include the online material for E4's BAFTA winning series Misfits and he currently has an original television sitcom, Medics, in development with Clerkenwell Films.
Mark is also a founding director of Fifty Nine Productions, a film and new media production company. Stage credits include
War Horse (National Theatre / Lincoln Center Theater),
Satyagraha (English National Opera) and
Doctor Atomic (Metropolitan Opera New York). Film production credits include the multi award-winning
A Family Portrait, directed by Joseph Pierce, which was longlisted for the 2012 Academy Awards for Best Animated Short and
The Pub, which won the World Animation Award at Leeds International Film Festival 2012.
Fifty Nine are currently working with Joseph on a feature project.
