Friday Night Dinner follows the Goodman brothers, Adam and Jonny, both Jewish twenty-somethings who, each week, return for a meal with their family to mark the arrival of the Sabbath day.

Mark plays next-door neighbour Jim, a man with a warped set of social skills and a rather large dog.
