Mark Sanderson is a renowned literary critic specialising in crime fiction. He writes for several papers, including the Evening Standard, The Sunday Times and The Observer and has a regular column in the Sunday Telegraph called The Literary Life.
In 2002, his memoir Wrong Door, about his lover's battle with terminal cancer, was published to great critical acclaim.
In 2010, he published his first novel, Snow Hill, a period crime novel that does for the '30s what Jake Arnott did for the '60s. The follow-up novel, The Whispering Gallery, will be published in July 2011.
