Mette Bolstad was born in Oslo but now lives and works in London. She writes for film, television, theatre and radio and is also the author of a published collection of short stories.
In addition to her writing work, Mette also acts as a script consultant for the European Script Fund and as a commissioning editor and consultant for the Norwegian Film Development Agency.
Mette's debut feature film, The Last Joint Venture, was released in 2008. Co-written by Mette and based on a cult Norwegian novel, it follows two hippy drug dealers struggling to sell the last of their dope stash in order to raise the funds to found a commune.
Mette is currently developing a television drama with the novelist Joe Nesbo and Yellow Bird whose credits include Wallander. Mette is also writing an 8 part adaptation of The Half Brother by Lars Saabye Christensen, which has been greenlit for production in 2011 by NRK.
