Molly McCloskey is the author of two collections of short stories, Solomon's Seal (Weidenfeld & Nicolson 1997) and The Beautiful Changes (Lilliput Press 2002). Her debut novel, Protection, was published in the UK by Penguin in 2005. Her first full-length work of non-fiction, Circles Around the Sun: In Search of a Lost Brother - about her brother’s schizophrenia and its effects on him and on the family - was published by Penguin Ireland in 2011.
Molly works as a free-lance journalist, essayist and reviewer, regularly contributing to the Irish Times and the Dublin Review. She has served as Writer Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, and has worked for the United Nations in Kenya and Somalia. Born in Philadelphia, Molly moved to Ireland in 1989, and now lives in Dublin.
