Nessah graduated with a First Class honours degree in Theatre Practice from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and also holds an MPhil (B) in Playwriting Studies from the University of Birmingham. 

In June 2014 Nessah completed an attachment at the Royal Court Theatre and was also a member of the Royal Court Summer Group 2014. Her play, Beastie, received a rehearsed reading in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs, in October.

Nessah is currently under commission to Pursued By A Bear Productions and a writer-on-attachment to HighTide Festival Theatre, Escalator Plays. Most recently Nessah wrote for: This is not a Slog, a collaborative, mobile exhibition of three walk installations, commissioned by Carissa Hope Lynch and Ovalhouse. 

Other theatre work includes: Sucker (Commissioned by Old Vic New Voices) Gastronauts, for the Royal Court Theatre, Pickaninny, longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize 2013 and the Alfred Fagon Award 2014, Nazma, (A monologue) produced by Kali Theatre for the 'Twelve' project, at Tristan Bates Theatre, ('Twelve' will tour in 2015) Hungry, which played at the Royal Court Theatre as part of the ‘Lost in Theatre’ strand of the Open Court Festival and Freya and Mr Mushroom, which was commissioned by The Building Site Theatre Company and Southwark Playhouse as part of the ‘Hotel Confessions’ season.

For screen, Nessah has recently been commissioned to write an episode of Holby City, following successful completion of the show’s shadow scheme and is also currently participating in the 4Screenwriting Course 2015. Previously she has written for EastEnders: E20, as well as various content across the EastEnders website and social media material for characters Fatboy and Faith.
