Nessah graduated with a First Class honours degree in Theatre Practice from Central School of Speech and Drama and also holds an MPhil (B) in Playwriting Studies from the University of Birmingham.
She currently writes for television and stage.
Nessah is presently under commission to the Royal Court Theatre. Gastronauts, a theatre adventure with food, an edible performance, will play in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from: 21st November - 21st December.
Nessah is also under commission to Kali Theatre for Twelve, a project exploring honor based violence and honor killings.
Nessah's short play Hungry, played at Royal Court as part of the Lost in Theatre strand of the Open Court Festival. Hungry is set, and to be listened to in the back of house shower at the Royal Court. Further details can be found here: Lost in Theatre and Nessah's play can be listened to here.
In 2011 her award winning short play Freya and Mr Mushroom, was commissioned by The Building Site Theatre Company as part of its Hotel Confessions season - a site specific piece performed at the Bermondsey Square Hotel. The show received critical acclaim with The Observer calling it "beautifully written".
For screen, Nessah has written for Eastenders: E20 and she also continues to write social networking material for Eastenders character Fatboy.
