2018 BAFTA Nominations

The nominations for the 2018 BAFTA Awards have been announced. 

Timewasters, directed by George Kane and starring Adelayo Adedayo and Kevin Garry, has been nominated for Best Scripted Comedy. 

This Country, directed by Tom George; Catastrophe, produced by Jack Bayles and directed by Ben Taylor; and Chewing Gum, directed by Simon Neal and starring Robert Lonsdale have also all received nominations for Best Scripted Comedy.

Peaky Blinders 4, produced by Joe Donaldson and directed by David Caffrey, received a nomination for Best Drama, as has The End of the F***ing World, starring Jessica Barden.

Three Girls, written by Nicole Taylor, has been nominated for Best Miniseries, along with Howards End, starring Joseph Quinn.

Pls Like, created by Olly Cambridge, produced by Rupert Majendie and starring Emma Sidi is up for Best Shortform Programme. Nominated for the same award is Morgana Robinson’s Summer, starring Morgana Robinson.

Murdered For Being Different, starring Chanel Cresswell, and Against The Law, starring Daniel Mays and Mark Gatiss, have both been nominated for Best Single Drama.

Asim Chaudhry has been nominated for Best Male Comedy performance for People Just Do Nothing.

The 2018 BAFTA Awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 13 May and hosted by Sue Perkins. The full list of nominations can be viewed here.
