Rebecca Lacey stars in Benefactors

Mar 7, 2012

Rebecca Lacey stars in Michael Frayn’s play Benefactors at the Sheffield Crucible.

The play follows two couples, David and the seemingly-perfect house wife Jane and Colin and the erratic Sheila (played by Rebecca).

The couples’ friendship soon descends into conflict spurred on by David’s ambitious architectural plan to build new high-rise apartment buildings in north London.

Michael Billington awarded the production a four-star review in The Guardian, describing it as “impeccably acted by [...] Abigail Cruttenden [...] and Rebecca Lacey.”

Benefactors performs in the Studio Space at the Sheffield Crucible until March 24th as part of the Michael Frayn Season.
