Adam Kay hosts Dear NHS Superstars on BBC One

Some of Britain's best loved stars have come together to celebrate the incredible people who work for the NHS in a one off programme hosted by writer, comedian and former doctor Adam Kay, and executive produced by James Farrell for Terrible Productions.

Participants speak candidly of the admiration, respect and gratitude they feel towards the incredible doctors, nurses, midwives, porters, and other NHS staff who have touched their lives.

The programme features appearances and stories from Curtis Brown clients Victoria DerbyshireKonnie Huq, Shappi Khorsandi and Sue Perkins.

It follows the release of new book Dear NHS, curated and edited by Kay, which includes similar stories shared by a host of household names. The book has been at the top of the Sunday Times Hardback Non-Fiction chart since it was published. All profits from the sale of each book go to NHS Charities Together and The Lullaby Trust, which supports parents bereaved of babies and young children.

Dear NHS Superstars airs on Thursday 23rd July at 9pm BBC One.
