BAFTA Craft Award Nominations 2011

The BAFTA Craft Award Nominations for 2011 have been announced.
Jon Brown is nominated in two categories; the Breakthrough Talent Award for his writing on Mongrels. The series has been a huge hit with the second series currently being filmed for broadcast in 2012. Jon was also part of the online team for the second series of Misfits which is nominated for the Digital Creativity award. Jon is currently writing episdoes for the third series of Misfits and Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong's new comedy Fresh Meat.
Paul McGuigan, who directed two of the three Sherlock films for Hartswood/BBC, has been nominated in the Director Fiction category for his episode A Study in Pink. Paul has just completed Damage Control, a US drama pilot created by Shonda Rhimes for ABC Studios, and is about to begin production on the second series of Sherlock, which will return to BBC1 later this year.
Dan Reed has been nominated in the Director Factual category for his revealing documentary Dispatches: The Battle for Haiti. The documentary which aired on Channel 4 captured the daily battle for Haiti's future following the earthquake of 2010.
Iain Morris and Damon Beesley received a nomination in the Writing category for the third series of their hugely succesful hit comedy The Inbetweeners. The nomination comes after a string of wins this year at the British Comedy Awards and The National Television Awards. A forthcoming feature length film is set to be released later this year.
The winners will be announced on May 8.
