BAFTA Craft Awards Nominations Announced

Nominations for the BAFTA Craft Awards 2009 have been announced.
Critically acclaimed drama
The Long Walk to Finchley scooped nominations for Best Breakthrough Talent for writer
Tony Saint and Best Director of Fiction/Entertainment for
Niall MacCormick.
The Long Walk to Finchley was also nominated for Best Editing: Fiction and Best MakeUp and Hair Design.
Alex Holmes has also been nominated for Best Director of Fiction/Entertainment for his work directing
House of Saddam for BBC/HBO, alongside
Rowan Joffe, who has been nominated for his Channel 4 film,
The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall.
House of Saddam, written and directed by Alex Holmes and produced by
Steve Lightfoot, was also nominated in the Best Costume Design, Best Make Up and Hair Design, Best Photography and Lighting Fiction categories.
The Wrong Door, the new CGI comedy sketch show for BBC produced by
Jack Cheshire has been nominated in the Best Visual Effects category.
Spooks, the long running series created by
David Wolstencroft, is nominated in the Best Original Television Music and Best Sound categories.
Winners will be announced on 17th May 2009.
