Clarkson and five others up for BAFTAs 2008

Nominees for the BAFTA Awards 2008 have been announced.
Tony Roche's political comedy, The Thick of It, has been nominated for Best Situation Comedy, while fellow sitcom Gavin and Stacey, directed by Christine Gernon, is up for the Audience Award. George Jeffrie and Bert Tyler Moore have been nominated for Best Programme for their hit series Star Stories.
In the drama categories, Boy A,
produced by Cuba Pictures and adapted by Mark O'Rowe, has been nominated for Best Single Drama, with lead Andrew Garfield up for Best Actor.
Life On Mars, the last block of which was directed by
SJ Clarkson, is nominated for Best Drama Series.
Winners will be announced on 20th April in a ceremony at the London Palladium.
