BAFTA Winners 2005

Winners announced at this year's BAFTA ceremony on 17th April 2005 included director Krishnendu Majumdar, who was nominated as Best New Director: Factual for Who You Callin' A Nigger?.

Channel 4 comedy Black Books, written by Andy Riley and Kevin Cecil won the BAFTA for Best Situation Comedy and Alex Holmes was awarded the The Huw Weldon Award for Specialist Factual for Dunkirk.

The Long Firm, written by Jake Arnott and directed by Bille Eltringham, gained a nomination in the Drama Serial Category.

, created by David Wolstencroft, was also nominated for Best Drama Series.
