Been So Long premieres at London Film Festival

Been So Long, directed by BAFTA-winning Tinge Krishnan and starring Arinzé Kene and Genevieve Barr, premieres at the BFI London Film Festival on 12th October. 

Set in London's Camden Town, the film follows Simone (Michaela Coel) a dedicated single mum who encounters the mysterious and troubled Raymond (Arinzé Kene) one night. The film is adapted from Ché Walker’s stage play and features Arthur Darvill’s original songs, Been So Long is a modern-day love story and contemporary musical. 

Netflix acquired the film in a multi-million dollar deal, the largest single acquisition of a UK film at the time.

Been So Long is Tinge’s second feature. She returns to the London Film Festival after her BIFA winning directorial debut Junkhearts in 2011. Tinge has recently been directing on The Feed for Amazon/Virgin. Before that Tinge directed a block of The Exorcist for Fox 21.
