Apr 18, 2012

Thursday 19th April 2012 sees the return of Grandma's House to BBC2 and the premiere of Nellie and Melba on Sky Arts 1, both directed by Christine Gernon.

Nellie and Melba screens at 9:00pm as part of the Sky Arts 'Playhouse Presents' season, a brand new comedy and drama strand which showcases and unleashes Britain's top acting, directing and writing talent.

Starring Paul O'Grady and Sheila Hancock and co-written by Paul O'Grady and Sandi Toksvig, the comic drama follows one man's dream to take the stage, helped by his outrageous dance-teaching mother.

Following this, over on BBC2 at 10:00pm, is the return of Grandma's House, written by and Starring Simon Amstell.  The 6-part series follows Amstell playing a version of himself; a television presenter searching for something more meaningful to do with his life.
