Claire Keegan nominated for Edge Hill Short Story Prize 2008

Claire Keegan has been included on the 2008 shortlist for the Edge Hill Prize for her collection of short stories, Walk the Blue Fields. The prize is awarded annually by Edge Hill University for the best short story collection of the year.

Walk the Blue Fields is Claire's second book of short stories. She was praised by the judges for creating "characters in a vividly imagined landscape, haunted by memories and urgent desires."

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Liverpool on 3 July 2008.
