Comedy Awards for Inbetweeners and Horrible Histories

The Inbetweeners and Horrible Histories both scooped awards at the British Comedy Awards.
Horrible Histories, which stars Simon Farnaby and Martha Howe-Douglas, adds the award for Best Sketch Show to the three BAFTA’s it won in November. Writers include Ben Ward, Gerard Foster, Fay Rusling and Oriane Messina. Harry and Paul, written by and starring Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse, were among the nominees.
The Inbetweeners, the most recent series of which saw Steven Webb join regular stars Blake Harrison and Henry Lloyd-Hughes, pipped Miranda to the Best Sitcom Award. Writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley picked up the award on Saturday night with the cast.
Miranda Hartalso picked up three awards including Best Female Comedy Actress, Best New Comedy and the People's Choice Award.
