CWA Dagger Awards Shortlists Announced

Jane Harper, Chris Whitaker and Victoria Slotover have all been shortlisted for the 2017 CWA Dagger Awards.

Jane Harper’s The Dry is shortlisted for the Gold Dagger. The Dry is a story of desperation, resolution and small-town prejudice in rural Australia, and was chosen as Thriller Book of the Month by Waterstones in June and July.

Chris Whitaker’s Tall Oaks is shortlisted for the John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger. Tall Oaks is a brilliant and original debut novel featuring a missing child, secret identities and dangerous lies in a town as idiosyncratic as its inhabitants.

Victoria Slotover’s Broken is shortlisted for the Debut Dagger. Broken is a thriller set on 7th July 2005, as a serial killer strikes amidst the cataclysmic explosions and the curtain is lifted on a twenty year old secret.

The winners will be announced on 26th October at the Dagger Awards Dinner in London.
