IFTA nominations announced

IFTA announced nominees for the 8th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards today.

Perrier's Bounty written by Mark O'Rowe and directed by Ian Fitzgibbon is nominated for Best Film alongside Sensation directed by Tom Hall, and starring Luanne Gordon. Mark O'Rowe is also nominated for Best Writer, as is Tom Hall for Best Director.

In the Television categories Stuart Carolan's series Love/Hate, directed by David Caffrey, is up for Best TV series/soap along with Single-Handed, for which Colin Teevan wrote 2 parts. David Caffrey has also been recognised in the Best TV Director category, and Stuart Carolan is shortlisted for Best TV Writer.

The awards take place on Saturday 12th February at the Convention Centre in Dublin.
