Manning and Dent vie for Queen of Teen crown 2008

Sarra Manning and Grace Dent are on the shortlist to be the first ever author to be crowned Queen of Teen.

The Book People Queen of Teen Award is in its inaugural year and was set up by The Book People to "acknowledge the hugely significant part that fiction can play during the teenage years." It specifically celebrates fiction for teenage girls and is voted for by girls between the ages of 10 and 18.

The winner will receive a crown and meet her fans at an exclusive coronation ceremony on 29 September 2008.
