Michael Longhurst Announces First Season at the Donmar Warehouse

Michael Longhurst, the new Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse, has announced his first season. 

Michael will direct the opening production in June which is a revival of David Greig's Europe, starring Billy HowleFaye Marsay and Shane Zaza. This will be followed by the UK premiere in August of Appropriate by the playwrighting star Brandon Jacob-Jenkins, starring Monica Dolan and directed by Ola Ince. 

A new play by Alice Birch, Blank, will open in October directed by Maria Aberg and produced alongside Clean Break. Mike Lew's comedic take on Richard II, Teenage Dick, will open in December starring Daniel Monks with Longhurst directing. Finally Lyndsey Turner will direct Caryl Churchill’s Far Away, twenty years after it's first premiere.

Michael is currently Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse. He directed Caroline or Change which ran at Hampstead Theatre and on the West End this year. His production of Amadeus ran twice at the National and his production of Nick Payne’s Constellations transferred to the West End and Broadway starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson.
