Miranda triumphs at the British Comedy Awards

Miranda Hart was crowned Britain's Queen of Comedy when she collected three accolades at this year's British Comedy Awards.

Miranda won the Best New TV Comedy award and she also picked up Best Female Comedy Actress and the People's Choice Award - chosen by viewers.
Ms Hart told the star-studded audience, at the 02 Arena in Greenwich, South London, that she was "genuinely thrilled" by her success.
Hugely successful comedy series The Inbetweeners written by Iain Morris and Damon Beesley was voted Best Sitcom for the second year running.
CBBC's Horrible Histories written and script edited in part by Ben Ward and starring Simon Farnaby and Martha Howe-Douglas collected the award for Best Sketch Show.
The ceremony was hosted by Jonathan Ross and was broadcast live on Channel 4.
