Nowhere Boy premieres in the US

Nowhere Boy, Sam Taylor-Wood's BAFTA-nominated feature film, receives its US premiere in New York this week at the Tribeca Arts Centre.
The film, which focuses on the formative years of the young Beatles in 1950s Liverpool, stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster as the young Paul McCartney and Josh Bolt as Pete Shotton, who was a close friend of John Lennon in their schooldays. Chris Coghill and Kerrie Hayes also feature.
The film premiered in the UK as the closing event of the London Film Festival in 2009. It was subsequently nominated for Outstanding British Film at the 2010 BAFTAs.
The film opens in the US on October 8th.
