Olivier 2019 Nominations Announced

Nominations for this year's Olivier Awards have been announced ahead of the ceremony which is set to take place on 7th April at the Royal Albert Hall.

Leading the way with the musical nominations is Caroline, or Change, nominated for Best Revival, directed by Michael Longhurst

Rosalie Craig has received a Best Actress in a Musical nomination for her performance in Company and her co-star Richard Fleeshman receives a nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical. 

Another nod goes to Rachel Tucker for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical for Come From Away.

Six, a new musical based on the wives of Henry VIII scoops an impressive five nominations which include a nod to Tom Curran, the Orchestrator and part of the team who are nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Music. The musical is written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss and is also nominated for Best New Musical.

Arinzé Kene is nominated for Best Actor and Best New Play for his one-man show Misty.

Malcolm Sinclair is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Pressure. 

A Monster Calls, a play directed by Sally Cookson is up for Best Entertainment and Family and a Best New Comedy  nomination goes to Quiz, written by James Graham

Athena Stevens' Schism and The Plebotomist, directed by Sam Yates both received nomincations for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate.
