RTS Award Nominations Announced

The Royal Television Society Award nominations have been announced for the RTS Programme Awards 2010.
The Inbetweeners, Rev and Miranda make up the entire shortlist for Scripted Comedy, with Miranda Hart also receiving a nomination for Comedy Performance.
Nominated for the Drama Series award are Sherlock, directed by Paul McGuigan, and Misfits, produced by Kate Crowe.
The Song of Lunch, adapted for television and directed by Niall MacCormick has been nominated for Single Drama. Starring Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson, this dramatisation of Christopher Reid's narrative poem is set over a nostalgic lunch between a book editor and his former love.
In the Soap and Continuing Drama category, Casualty has been nominated. Mark Catley is lead writer on the series as well as acting as consultant producer.
Tracy Beaker Returns, revisioned and written by Ben Ward has been nominated in the Children's Drama category. Ben is also a major contributor to Horrible Histories, which has been nominated in Children's Programme. Gez Foster also writes on this hugely popular series.
Pineapple Dance Studios has been nominated in the Features and Lifestyle Series Category, with Hannah Springham as lead director on the series, which goes behind the scenes at the world-famous studios in London.
The Awards celebrate all genres of television and will be presented on the 15th March 2011 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in a ceremony hosted by Dara O'Briain.
