Shortlists announced for British Book Awards 2007

The shortlists for the Galaxy British Book Awards 2007 have been announced.

Sam Bourne's The Righteous Men has been shortlisted for for Crime Thriller of the Year.

Jane Harris has been nominated for Newcomer of the Year for her debut novel, The Observations.

Marian Keyes' Anybody Out There and Jilly Cooper's Wicked have both been shortlisted for the in the Popular Fiction Award.

Lauren Weisberger's The Devil Wears Prada, which was made into a successful film adaptation in 2006, had been nominated for the TV and Film Book of the Year.

Winners will be announced on 28th March 2007 at an awards ceremony in London.
