The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas wins Publishing Innovation Award

The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas has won a Publishing Innovation Award in the Best Children’s E-book category.

The news was announced at the Digital Book World Conference in New York on January 16th. The Publishing Innovation Awards celebrates the most original and pioneering ebooks, enhanced ebooks and apps internationally and over fourteen categories. The illustrated book, written by McFly members Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter, fought off stiff competition from favourites such as SpongeBob Squarepants. It is the first children’s book they have written.

The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas tells the story of Danny, a boy who asks Father Christmas for too many presents. Instead, he gives Danny a dinosaur, leading to very messy and very smelly results.

The Bookseller has said, ‘They have masterminded a work of genius.’ EYE magazine said, ‘If you like your humour to be slightly scatological in nature, then The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas will have children in fits of laughter (and a large amount of adults too).’
