The Great Outdoors sets a course for BBC4

star in The Great Outdoors
, a three-part miniseries by Kevin Cecil
and Andy Riley
for BBC4. The off-beat sitcom follows the weird and wonderful members of the Mid-Bucks Walking Club, as their dysfunctional relationships and bitter rivalries threaten to overshadow their shared hobby.
Mark plays technophobe Bob, the eccentric (and once undisputed) leader of the rambling group who is now engaged in a continual battle of wills with the group's deputy leader, Christine (Ruth Jones), for the hearts and minds of his fellow ramblers.
Katherine plays Sophie, an unhappily married businesswoman looking for adventure and romance in the countryside.
Steve plays Tom, Bob's oddball best friend and most loyal supporter, and Gwyneth Keyworth - recently named as one of Screen International's Stars of Tomorrow
- plays Hazel, Bob's teenage daughter.
The Great Outdoors starts on Wednesday 28th July at 9pm and concluding on Wednesday 11th August.
