Nick Webb

Nick Webb is a book editor and author. He approached Douglas Adams and John Lloyd in 1978, to commission them for a novelisation of the first radio series of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for Pan Books in London. The book was eventually written solely by Adams and published in 1979.

Nick remained friends with Douglas Adams through the rest of Adams' life. After Adams' death in 2001, Nick began work on a biography. The book was published as Wish You Were Here: The Official Biography of Douglas Adams, first printed in the UK in 2003, and in the USA in 2005.
