Norman Leigh was a professional gambler and writer, and is best known for his acclaimed book on roulette technique, Thirteen Against the Bank.

Leigh lived in Twickenham with his wife and son, and made regular trips to Monte Carlo to play roulette with a team of twelve others. He used his intelligence and talent for mathematics to develop gambling techniques which led to several notorious wins at the Monte Carlo roulette tables in the 1960’s. After one win too many, Leigh was eventually barred from playing in Monte Carlo's casinos.

Leigh spent the latter part of his life in Lymington, Hampshire.
