Biography

Olly Smith is a uniquely enthusiastic British TV presenter, award winning wine expert, foodie, columnist and author. 

Olly has a string of TV credits and regularly appears as a wine expert on BBC1's Saturday Kitchen and on ITV's This Morning as a drinks expert. As Wine Editor of The Mail on Sunday's Event Magazine Olly's weekly wine column reaches 5.3 million readers each week. His latest book Behind Enemy Wines was brimming with even more winning wine facts from his weekly wine column - whatever the occasion, budget or mood. 

In 2013 Olly was chosen to select the prestigious 50 Great Portuguese Wines, scouring Portugal over many months to find the country's very best 'great value' wines many of which are now available in the UK for the first time thanks to his introductionOlly is also a respected wine judge on the international stage acting as a Senior Judge of the International Wine Challenge and The Decanter World Wine Awards and Chairman of the Top 50 Wine Merchant Awards. His wealth of judging experience encompasses The Top 100 Wines of Spain, The Fairtrade Wine Competition and Vin de Pays Top 100. 

This year Olly has been listed as one of Debrett's 500 most influential people and was also presented to Her Majesty at the naming ceremony of RMS Britannia, Britain's largest cruise ship, where Olly joins James Martin, Atul Kocchar, Marco Pierre White and Eric Lanlard as Britannia's Food Heroes. He is soon to film series 2 of his wine and travel show for the Food Network and Travel Channel: Jenni & Olly's East Coast Wine Adventure.
