Brazilian publisher Intrinseca pushes One Day to number 1

David Nicholls' touching novel One Day, has become a huge hit in Brazil, where it is published by Intrinseca and currently sitting atop all of the country’s most important best seller lists.
According to lists compiled by Brazilian newspapers Folha de S.Paulo, O Estado de S.Paulo and O Globo, and magazines Veja and Época, One Day is consistently listed in the number one position, followed by novels such as Umberto Eco’s The Prague Cemetery and Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.
One Day is an unforgettable tale about two lives that begin to intertwine when Emma and Dexter meet on the night before their graduation. The book goes on to chart their lives and how they relate to one another by visiting them and their relationship on the anniversary of their first meeting every year for the next twenty years. What is to follow is a tale of successes, failures and the power that our relationships have to determine the course of our lives.
Success in Brazil is the latest latest triumph for Nicholls’ enchanting tale. The book has been a huge hit in the UK, with sales surpassing the 1 million mark in mid- 2011. Foreign rights for the title have sold in 41 languages, taking Emma and Dexter’s tale all over the world. Their story has also reached many more through the film adaptation which was released in cinemas in August 2011.
