Patricia is the daughter of Aldo Gucci, the man who introduced Gucci to the world by leading its global expansion from its family roots in Florence, Italy.
She was raised in London by her mother, Bruna Palombo, Aldo's mistress-turned-wife. Patricia was relatively sheltered from the Gucci life until she turned 18, when her father appointed her fashion co-ordinator and roving ambassador, leading to the The New York Times declaring her "the most eligible girl in the world."
She and her mother became sole heirs to Aldo's fortune upon his death in 1990. Patricia is currently writing a memoir about her life as a Gucci.
