Revisit the Cricklewood Greats with Tony Roche on BBC4

Cricklewood Greats written by Tony Roche

February 03, 2012

The Cricklewood Greats, co-written by Tony Roche and Peter Capaldi airs on BBC4, Sunday at 9pm.

This affectionate mock documentary explores the 'forgotten stars' of the Cricklewood Studios and how the studio was ultimately bankrupted in the 1980's by Terry Gilliam's ludicrously expensive film Professor Hypochondria's Magical Odyssey.

'pinning spoofs of cheap British movies and even cheaper British movie stars onto a made-up studio lets Capaldi and co-writer Tony Roche have some arch fun' Alison Graham Radio Times

'film buff heaven' Rachel Tarley Metro
