Robyn Sisman was born in Los Angeles but was brought up in Illinois, Geneva, Oxford and Munich. Following an early career in publishing, she wrote her first novel, Special Relationship which was published by William Heinemann in 1995. The book was a success, and on the strength of it she and her family moved to Somerset.
Perfect Strangers (Penguin 1998) and Just Friends (Michael Joseph 2000) followed - both Sunday Times Top Ten bestsellers and translated into twenty-five languages. The film rights to Just Friends were bought by Warner Brothers and Perfect Strangers is under option to Working Title.
Robyn's other novels include Weekend in Paris (Michael Joseph 2004) and A Hollywood Ending (Orion 2008).
