Santa Montefiore lives in London with her writer husband Simon Sebag-Montefiore and their two children. Having gained a degree in Spanish and Italian from Exeter University, Santa made a career in PR and worked as Special Events director for the Polo Ralph Lauren flagship store in Bond Street. She converted to Judaism in 1998 and married in the Liberal Jewish Synagogue.
Santa has written love stories since she was at school - she used to write romances for her friends using the boy they fancied as the hero. Unsurprisingly, therefore, her novels are sweeping tales of love and adventure set in Britain, Argentina and other exotic locations. Santa herself has travelled and worked for a year in Argentina.
