Sarah Solemani is an award-winning actress and writer. Her performance as ‘Becky’ in BBC’s ‘Him and Her’ won her the Royal Television Society Award for Best Comedy Performance and the BAFTA for best sitcom. Her drama, The Conversation, in which she also starred, was produced by Working Title for BBC. Her comedy, Aphrodite Fry, in which she also starred, was produced by Ruby for SKY and was described by Metro as ‘a British answer to Girls’. 

She is under commission to write original comedy with FX Studio in the US and has work in development with Kudos, Tiger Aspect and Working Title. As a playwright, her first play was produced by the National Youth Theatre, where she started acting. Since then, her plays have been performed at the Soho Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Arcola, Southwark Playhouse, Old Vic, Theatre503 and the Public Theatre, New York.
