Simonne Gnessen and Karen Pine

Profile

Simonne Gnessen has been in the finance business for 18 years, including 10 years as an independent financial adviser. Feeling constrained by the traditional model of financial advice, in 2002 she broke new ground by designing a completely different type of service, one that focuses on empowering people in money matters without selling any financial product. Simonne's work has been featured on BBC radio and TV and in several national newspapers and women's magazines. She currently lives and works in Brighton.

Karen Pine is a renowned psychologist and Professor of Developmental Pychology at the University of Hertfordshire. Karen holds a PhD in children's learning and conducts a wide range of psychological research into children and adults' thinking and behaviour. She also lectures on psychology at institutions around the world. Women's issues have always been at the heart of Karen's interests.

Simonne Gnessen and Karen Pine are the co-authors of Sheconomics, which helps women with both psychological and practical money issues.
