Stephanie Thwaites

I studied English literature at Leeds University, with a year at McGill University in Montreal. After a brief stint of work experience at a Publishing PR company, I started at Curtis Brown in November 2003.

I represent Children's and YA authors together with some adult fiction and non-fiction. I also sell translation rights for all Children's authors represented by Curtis Brown and ICM.

Having grown up reading Point Horror and Christopher Pike books, and moving on to study Gothic literature, I am particularly drawn to dark and sinister novels (and am quite fond of Halloween). I am also interested in funny stories for children, unusual ideas and great adventures. We are currently building the children’s list and our focus is mainly on books for 8-12 year olds and stand out YA titles.
