Susan Conant graduated summa cum laude from Radcliffe College and holds a doctorate in human development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She and her husband live near Boston with two Chartreux cats and two Alaskan malamutes.
She is the author of the popular Dog Lover's Mysteries, which chronicle the adventures of Holly Winter and her Alaskan
malamutes, Rowdy, Kimi, and Sammy. Susan is a six-time winner of the Dog Writer's Association of America's Maxwell Award.
the Surface, is the first novel in her Cat Lover's Mysteries and introduces cat-mystery writer Felicity Pride and her
Chartreux cats, Edith and Brigitte. The malamutes in the Dog Lover's Mysteries are composites, but the cats in Scratch the Surface are portraits of her own Chartreux.
Susan and her daughter, Jessica Conant-Park, are the authors of the Gourmet Girl series of culinary mysteries.
