Tanya Becker and Jennifer Maanavi are the co-founders of Physique 57 and are the co-authors of The Physique 57 Solution.
Tanya Becker is the also the Director of Training, and Head Instructor of Physique 57. Prior to creating the Physique 57 technique, she trained and taught at The Lotte Berk Method in New York City, where she helped update, refine and perfect the legendary fitness regimen.
In addition to teaching and training at the Physique 57 studios, Tanya is the choreographer and instructor in the Physique 57 DVDs: Classic 57 Minute and Express 30 Minute. Her national appearances for Physique 57 include The Martha Stewart Show, The Today Show, and Dr. Oz. She has also been featured in Vogue, Shape, Redbook, Harper’s Bazaar, New York Magazine and People.
As a trained student of the Luigi Jazz Technique and a musical choreographer, Tanya has performed in musicals and live productions around the world and has appeared in industrials, films, and commercials. She is also an ACE (American Council of Exercise) Certified Personal Trainer. She and her husband live in New York City.
Jennifer Maanavi is also the owner, and CEO of Physique 57. A longstanding devotee of The Lotte Berk Method, she joined forces with Tanya Becker in 2005 to bring a modern take on Berk’s teachings to women everywhere. Armed with her MBA, 11 years of experience competing on Wall Street, and tremendous support from her family, Jennifer applied her world-class business management techniques to launching Physique 57 and growing it into one of today’s most-talked about fitness regimens.
Prior to becoming a “mompreneur,” Jennifer was an Associate in the Private Wealth Management Division of Morgan Stanley where she advised the Firm’s highest net worth private clients and institutions on asset allocation and investment management strategies. She has also held positions at Prudential Investments, Meredith, Martin & Kaye, Deutsche Bank Private Bank and GeoCapital.
Jennifer graduated cum laude from Boston University in 1993 and Beta Gamma Sigma from Columbia Business School in 2000. She, her husband and 2 young children live in New York City.
