'Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America. Also screening at SXSW in the ‘Festival Favourites' section is Director Niels Arden Oplev's smash hit film The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Based on Stieg Larsson's bestselling novel, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo tells the story of Mikael Blomkvist, a journalist who is asked by a friend to investigate the forty year old case of a young girl's disappearance from a small island, an island inhabited solely by members of the tight-knit Vanger family. The investigation takes Blomkvist and his accomplice, hacker Lisbeth Salander, deep into a mire of multiple murders and family secrets.
The festival in Austin, Texas, kicks off on Friday March 12th 2010.
