Tim Binding

Tim Binding is an acclaimed writer, and former Publisher and Editorial Director of both Penguin and Simon & Schuster. He is the author of several novels, and his second, A Perfect Execution, was shortlisted for the Guardian Fiction Prize.

He has written two comic thrillers under the pen name TJ Middleton: Cliffhanger and Rump Stake. The first was a bestseller in Germany for Marebuch Verlag, and the second will publish in German in 2011.

Tim has also written a fantasy adventure for children: Sylvie and the Songman, illustrated by Angela Barrett.

For television, he co-wrote, with Simon Nye, the comedy series The Last Salute for the BBC in 1998.

Born in Germany in 1947, Tim lives in Kent with his wife and daughter.
