Tim Butcher is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster and best-selling author. He was on the staff of the Daily Telegraph from 1990 to 2009 serving as Chief War Reporter, Africa Bureau Chief and Middle East Correspondent, and is a regular contributor to the BBC’s prestigious programme, From Our Own Correspondent.
He has been published by a range of titles including The Spectator, Prospect, Tatler, The New Statesman, The Economist, The International Herald Tribune and the Sunday Times, and in 2010 he received an Honorary Doctorate for service as a journalist and author. Born in Britain in 1967, he is based in Cape Town.
