Tom Bissell is the author of four titles including Extra Lives: Why Video Games Matter, Magic Hours and The Disaster Artist which was co-written with Greg Sestero. His work has appeared in The New Yorker and GQ, among many other publications, and he is a contributing editor to Harper’s Magazine and the Virginia Quarterly Review.
A recipient of the Rome Prize and a Guggenheim Fellowship, he teaches fiction writing at Portland State University and lives in Portland, Oregon.
