Tom Bower is a former reporter for the BBC's Panorama and an author of highly critical unauthorised biographies. He has written insightful biographies on Robert Maxwell, Mohamed Al-Fayed, Gordon Brown and Richard Branson.

In 2003, he won the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award for Broken Dreams, an investigation into corruption in English football. Tom's most recent biography Conrad and Lady Black: Dancing on the Edge was published in November 2006 by HarperCollins to much critical acclaim.

Tom lives in London and is married to the ex-editor of the Evening Standard, Veronica Wadley.

His latest book Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell, is published by Faber & Faber (April 2012).
