Tony nominations for Enda Walsh

Once written by Enda Walsh leads the 2012 Tony Awards nominations with 11 nods including Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical.

The stage adaptation of John Carney's Oscar-winning film about two musicians who meet in Dublin first opened at the New York Theatre Warehouse in 2011 to outstanding critical reviews. It has subsequently transferred to the Bernard B Jacobs Theatre on Broadway and has also been nominated for 7 Outer Critic Circle Awards, 7 Lucille Lortel Awards and 3 Drama League Awards.

The Tony Awards will be held on June 10th at the Beacon Theatre and will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
